Net Configuration Assistant

Overview

The Net Configuration Assistant is the quickest way to implement a Listener in Windows. The below covers the steps to knock out a Listener in no time.

Windows: Start → All Programs → Oracle OraDb1n_home → Configuration and Migration Tools → Net Configuration Assistant

Procedure

1. (x) Listener configuration
2. (x) Add
3. Listener name: LISTENER
4. Selected Protocols => TCP
5. Use the standard port number of 1521
   or (x) Use another port number: nnnn
6. Would you like to configure another listener?
   (x) No
7. Listener configuration complete!

Select Finish button.
